I was also looking at the Woodlands Mill but after you factor in the Swedish VAT at 25% its not quite so attractive.

This looks very similar, works out cheaper, and is from a UK importer:

How to Order - Timbersaw

But after seeing the TrakMet at the CONFOR show I would try and stretch your budget to £3995 + vat for their offering which has a wider cut, a longer bed and much more heavily built.

TTP-600 Standard

That's what I'm saving my pennies for.

I nearly bought one, after evaluating many different entry-level mills. Very well made and more refined than most

If you look on their website and order there, the vat is calculated at 20%.

I couldn't get any kind of deal whatsoever, which I thought was dissapointing, and eventually bought a different mill elsewhere. Good mill, though.

If You the buyer lives in the UK and are vat registered and the seller is in a EU member country and is also vat registered then you should supply the seller with your UK vat number GB xxx xxxxxx and you don't need to pay any vat and they would supply you with a nett invoice with there vat number that way HMRC don't have too collect funds from governments from other countries which is an extra cost and risk for them
