Buying a wood chipper

Hello all,

 

Just wondering, what do you look for when going to buy a new wood chipper?

 

Do you look for certain brands? Or would you look at say a Forst/Timberwolf for a 6” towed chipper but a GreenMech for a 8” tracked? Would you hire instead of buy, or buy pre-owned?

 

Or does it simply come down to price and availability?

 

Just looking to get some opinions as you guy’s use these machines on a daily basis
