Hi all, just a quick one, when u price a job in a conservation area and maybe don't get the job, would you still apply for the permission off council, as I've recently priced a job it's been accepted and a local company has also put in the application, when they didn't win the job!

Worth checking council website for planning applications to check if it has been accepted if so it has to be carried out within 2 yrs, don't think you would need to apply again but just ask at council and get something in writing to make sure.

I wouldn't normally submit a application until I have won the job, i just make sure that the customer is awear work is subject to LA approval.

If another company has submitted a application, the customer should have a copy, if so you should be fine.

If they haven't it may be just a case of speaking to the LA.

What confuses me is why youd need to do an app for works in conservation area :confused1: you notify not apply :001_tt2:

Wonder how you won the job, the customers must have given the other company the idea they had the job for them to sort it out with the la.

Round here you fill in an application and they (LA) then decide if they wish to issue a TPO.
