what grease do you use

Any good quality Lithium based grease will do. I use JCB HP grease mainly because its easy to get hold of. I've also been known to use a graphite grease but that is thick sticky stuff, that normally goes in hard to reach places as it takes a long time to come out.

 

 

Graphite grease is not designed for high spinning bearings!

 

It primary purpose is for high load sliding surface contact lubricant

Hence the thick tacky constancy

 

 

This would be a more suitable grease

EPK2 lithium based grease which has a high load (Extreme Pressure) high melting point - perfect for high spinning bearings
