Petrol log splitter

I m looking to buy a petrol driven log splitter top end of my budget is £1000 ,I split all sorts of fallen timber and some arb waste .I used my mates machine the other day which is a 7 ton table machine but it struggled a bit with some twisted oak so was looking for something a bit bigger . So guys and girls what machines should I look at ? Ideas please . Thanks

You may struggle to find a decent machine with a 12 tonne split for a grand. Most splitters under a grand won't have a Honda engine but a cheap Chinese thing on, the metal on them is monkey metal and they don't last. I had one which I foolishly bought off Arbtrader without looking and it was pants. Save up and get a wallenstein, they are one of the best.
