Service Delivery Manager – WPD Probus, Cornwall

Salary: Up to £28,000 p.a. + benefits

 

Glendale has been working with Western Power Distribution for over 20 years and due to the retirement of the current manager after over 20 years service, we now have the following vacancy for immediate start.

 

Based in the area, the successful candidate will be a proactive operational manager who will be able to offer operational, financial and commercial management to the largest contract in the Southwest and a key client to Glendale nationally.

 

Supported by a Supervisor, Surveyors and direct teams you will be delivering complete vegetation management to power lines across Mid & West Cornwall. This role offers the successful candidate a fantastic and unique opportunity to progress their career.

 

Reporting to the General Manager the ideal candidate should be qualified in arboriculture, forestry or similar to degree level with significant experience in delivering utility/vegetation management contracts. You will need to work to both Glendale and WPD processes and procedures ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards, whilst maintaining tight control of costs. Planning, issuing and monitoring of all works streams is a pivotal part of the role.

 

In addition, you will need to have excellent time management and administrative skills with the ability to work in a demanding environment with a strong health and safety culture, display excellent people management & communication skills and have a grasp of detail and strategy. The ideal candidate will hold natural leadership qualities, display innovation and enthusiasm, and have a passion for excellent customer service. They will be a key member of the management team and hence this role offers the successful candidate a fantastic and unique opportunity to significantly progress their career.
