A 57 plate Amazon would make sense but that could be 3 decades with the same car and I fancy a change. The new v8 diesel looks ugly from the back and a bit too electronic and expensive new and second hand not driven one in case I fall in love and end up shelling out 50k. The other problem with a car is you can only claim back 12k per year of the value. A disco commercial you get 40% of the whole lot in first year. I see some landcrusiers are vat applicable if you can justify it in your business does that also make it commercial ?

The trouble is once you've had cruisers there not really any thing else you get other then a yank pick up like a ford f350 dually as every thing else seems a bit under par nissan patrols are cheep n nasty compared to cruisers discos n range rover ant in the same leage

Iv driven the 200 and there twice as good as 100 "pardon the pun" I'm waiting for the 2nd hand ones to come down a bit more before I get one, there at 35k at the mo but then a good yank it's not cheep eather !!

I can buy a new 200 for £54,000 which makes the 3 year old stuff at 40k look expensive. But 65 k for a truck just seems insane. But then spending 10k a year repairing a 3 year old disco is even worst.

can i ask how a mitsubishi shogun lwb 3.2 diesel would compare to the nissan patrol, lc amazon? for towing, off road etc...

It's unfair to compare to a shogun as it's a much smaller lighter motor, but iv had shoguns and there good off road n towing and got the upper hand over landrovers as they come with diff locks n LSD etc but trust me once you've had cruisers there's no going back

Go for the plunge and treat yourself you cannot take the money with you. After owning a land cruiser you want look back. A good towing tool with plenty of balls totally different league to a disco. They always seem to fetch good money second hand a well sought after vehicle.
