Glendale, the “green services” division of Alston Investments has revenues of £45 million and operates throughout the UK. Glendale’s activities include grounds management, countryside management, landscaping, horticulture and golf course management.

 

Due to sustained growth we now seek to recruit the following staff for our well established woodlands and estates contracting business based in Exeter.

 

Woodlands & Estates Team Member

 

Up to £8.00 per hr

 

Full time - 40 hrs per week. 20 days leave plus bank holidays (rising to 22 days with service), sick pay, pension, full PPE & Uniform and training.

 

Based at our Exeter office, covering Devon, parts of Somerset and West Dorset, you will be carrying out countryside contracting work, including tree planting, fencing, scrub control, herbicide application, grass cutting, habitat management, woodland work, and ongoing contracts for a variety of clients. The role requires liaising with customers on a daily basis, therefore good organisational and personal skills are essential.

 

The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge and skills in woodland, countryside or land management. A full UK driving license is essential. You will need to be flexible, reliable and have a thorough, proven knowledge of countryside work, holding the requisite NPTC Certificates (CS30,31 essential), PA1 & PA6 and a clean driving licence, preferably a full pre 1997 or subsequent trailer test award licence. A CSCS card would be desirable.
