Its an antique and it has no chain brake (to the best of my recollection)

 

If its a good clean example and cheap get it and sell it on to a collector, they are a tight bunch so don't pay much for it. You can then use the profit for something more modern

The 040/041 was listed as 25" max bar length, the saw is VERY obsolete and parts are hard to come by! If it is an AV model, it can retrofit a chainbrake (extremely rare!). Not high revving but extremely torquey.

 

If it's an 044/440/046/460 then it's a modern-ish saw, parts are readily available, and will also sport a 25" b&c.

 

There are also 042 and 048 models to make it more confusing if you've misheard! Aftermarket parts are available for both, and SOME genuine parts.
