Not looked at the X ray for a few years but my right femur was snapped just above the knee not leaving much of a stump to join back up . So a rod goes up the side of the bone , right up the thigh and only a small length of it is below the break . Screws go through the rod and into the bone . Must be ay least 15 or 20 screws ....

Oh man! Only 15+ lol. I've got four screws; 2 top and 2 bottom and the nail the entire length of the tibia (inserted through the knee) and fixed.

 

How do you find it affects physical work? It forced me to go mechanised (alhough so did economics) and sometimes you can do anything, other times it kills...

Live on Ibufrofen . This caused it ..... Myopic woman in Renult Megan hits little old me on Honda Fireblade . On my side of road .
