do i store my saws/strimmers/mowers full or empty

as above whats your thoughts on your machinery stored with full fuel tanks thus no air to stale the fuel etc or store empty and run till they run out before storing away i,e dry stored etc

 

its been on my mind for days my chainsaw sits for weeks at times and my mower for months also my strimmer sits around alot in the winter months unused how do you store yours ???

Hi,

 

Fuel will breakdown even if the tank is full, best to put some Aspen in and run the engine so you know it as filled the carb.

 

Draining is the second best and the run them until they stop to get as much out the system as possible.

 

Pump fuels have changed so much in the last years very few engines will be 100% if left with fuel in them for over 2 months or more.

 

Most manufactures websites will say not to use fuel over 30 days old in your machine.
