Why do you prefer being self employed over employed?

Days like today are great, took a hedge out for a customer and got another 3 jobs out of it, also ended up erecting a fence where the hedge once stood that looks :thumbup: customer made us bacon sarnies for breakfast cold sarnies for dinner loads of chocolate biscuits endless pots of tea and to top it off gave us a £30 tip for working so hard in the rain. Having a good job recognized makes it all worth while :thumbup1:

Why do you prefer being self employed over employed?

I love it as I can sit inside and watch it rain on days like today!

Independence is a massive one, the ability to decide where the business is going and what I want to do.

Of course this does mean its all down to me!

For days like today when its chucking it down I can look outside and go nah! In all seriousness I like it because all the effort and investment I put in I get back 100% for my own benefit rather than someone else's.

Although sometimes I think if someone were to offer me a no hassle full time job, just turn up crack on with a days work and go home not having to worry about anything else, would seem quite appealing!

Self employed over being employed, one word "freedom"

Flippin 'eck Varty, I must be doing something wrong cos I've got no freedom at all!

I'm a complete slave to my business. It never goes away, I'm always worrying, it demands all my time.

I still prefer it to being employed though.

Then I get home and I'm a flipping slave there too!

:lol::lol:

Delegation and time management is what you need :001_smile:

One wise person once said to me:

'Finding time to work on your business is as important as time spent working within your business.'

I know many who work within but not many who have learnt to work on.

Just a few ramblings :001_smile:
