Student seeking advice!

Hello, I am a craft student and recently have had designs shortlisted to be shown to a local hospital. I spoke to a man from a sawmill today who said the best wood to use would be chestnut as they are outdoor sculptures (I don't usually work with wood). What I am really struggling with is giving estimated costs for the project if it was chosen. The man I spoke to unfortunately did not get back to me and I spoke to another friend who is in arboriculture who suggested asking on here...

The sculptures would be about 2metres high, 1metre wide and 50cm deep.

I know that prices would probably vary a lot from place to place but if anyone could give me a rough idea on how much the wood would cost and also how much they think the commission would be to do the wooden bit I would really really appreciate it!

Thankyou :)
