From the local paper.... 3 Chimney fires

A porch at a Nairn flat was damaged by fire after the occupants tried to light a living room fire using a can of petrol.

Three appliances from Nairn and Inverness attended the incident in Harbour Street just before 7.30pm yesterday.

Firefighters used two hose reel jets and four sets of breathing apparatus. The fire was reported as being under control by 8.24pm. It is understood no one was injured.

Firefighters were also called out to two chimney fires in the Inverness area yesterday. The first at 12.40pm was in the Struy area. Appliances from Inverness, Beauly and Cannich went to the scene but the fire was out on arrival.

The second was in the Farr area at 6.40pm. One appliance from Inverness attended the fire which was reported to be out by 7.30pm

I once watched a TV programme about a Jamaican A&E dept. One patient was in with severe burns after trying to clear his blocked toilet. He'd tipped a couple of gallons of bleach down it with no effect so he then tipped a gallon of petrol into it followed by a lit match.

Wouldn't have need the match. Just pour in the petrol count to 50 while running away very quickly.

Was a story a short while ago about an old man using cilit bang. It wasn't working to his idea of how it should so he mixed petrol with it to give it a kick. A minute later he had no kitchen left.

Why it says on almost every cleaner not to be mixed with any other chemical.

Can give some fun results.

And thank you dad for teaching me all these wounder full things so I sound like a complete terrorist.....
