Part time tree officer/consultant required on a short term basis to provide immediate cover for a Council in West Sussex..

 

Our client is a West Sussex Council who are looking to engage a temporary part time Tree Officer to bridge the gap whilst the permanent position is advertised. They are looking to engage an arboriculturalist on a short term basis to provide immediate cover ; the candidate can apply for the permanent post.

 

The role will involve processing TPO and Conservation area applications, making TPOs and assisting the Principal Tree Officer with more complicated issues. As this role will involve processing applications to work on protected trees and reviewing BS5837 surveys candidates would ideally need some prior experience of dealing with trees in relation to planning law and in addition hold a level three qualification in arboriculture and a driving licence. Based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. 2-3 days per week, as required. £15-£18 PH subject to payment method ad experience.
