Travel and directions: For those driving there is a Civic centre multi storey car park, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH. Nearest train station is Bromley North or Bromley South, depending where you are coming from. It takes 30 – 40 minutes to Bromley North and trains go from London Victoria, Cannon Street or Blackfriars stations or it takes 15 – 20 minutes to Bromley South with trains mainly going from Victoria. It is 10 minutes walk from either station to the Civic Centre.

9.30am Welcome – tea and coffee

 

10.00am Neville Fay, Treework Environmental Practice, Conservation arboriculture & urban veteran trees.

 

10.45am Ted Green, Tree archaeology - pollards/coppice

 

11.30am Jill Butler, Ancient Tree Forum, Ancient Tree Hunt data

 

12.15pm Richard Edwards, Forestry Commission, A flavour of the grants available

 

 

 

 

 

 

One for those members who dig their old trees.

 

 

Possibly a rehashing of old material but good to see the speakers bringing the roadshow to the urban keepers of all things woody :thumbup1:

The Vesp is purring like a cute little purdy cat, specially as I've finally got the blown scorpion fixed, so now the neighbours don't think they've got a big greasy hogster living on their doorstep shattering the peace at 6 every morning :sneaky2::lol:
