Casio, Watch shop, H Samuals. Grrrr

Caz brought me a Casio Edifice for chrimble as I have worn the last Casio Protrek for the last 17 years and knowing I'm a bit gadgety, got one which bluetooths to an appointment on your phone for set up, alarms and so on.

 

Opens it up and like the look, weight and feel. So well happy.....struggle to connect it to my Sony Aqua - after many attempts over a few days I give up. We go to Samuals who fleece me for £20 to adjust the bracelet and say "yes, we struggled to connect one last week and ended up talking to Casio, here is their number".

 

I phone Casio, when they eventually answer, to be told that is only compatible with iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Note!

 

I pointed out that it doesn't say that on the WatchShop page, nor Casio online and the bint in Samuals must have known this too! WatchShop don't think that I'm fair asking for the return costs and the 20 sobs bracelet cost as they weren't made aware by Casio.

If you've got the time (!) and the inclination, take advice, pursue a case...

My wife took a trip to London last Xmas, bought a bracelet from H Samuel in Oxford Street. Within a short time it snapped. She contacted them by email and phone, promises were made but no resulting refund happened. To cut to the chase she posted the tale on Facebook and Twitter saying that she would never buy from them again. Within days she got the refund. They don't like negative publicity. Try that route.

We have a convienient church clock, the bell even goes twice at lunchtime, once on the hour then again 5 minutes later to remind people.
