Director of Utility Arboriculture

Salary: Dependent on skills and competencies

Based: Midlands/South Midlands

 

Glendale is a £50 million+ company delivering ‘green services’ throughout Great Britain. Glendale’s activities include grounds management, landscaping, countryside/estates management, horticulture and arboriculture. As a result of continued successful growth over the last 5 years, we are now seeking to appoint a Director of Utility Arboriculture to join the senior management team.

 

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and will become a member of the senior management team; taking full profit and loss responsibility for the WPD contract in the Midlands. Applicants should be of graduate calibre with a strong operational background. An understanding of the ‘green market place’ is desireable, however, candidates with a proven track record in the delivery of multi-site service operations from any sector are encouraged to apply.

 

The successful candidate will be committed to developing Glendale’s brand within the sector and will work with the Director of Health & Safety and Compliance to develop the company’s systems and practices, and the Sales & Marketing team to lead bids and develop working relationships with clients. The effective leadership of the utility arboricultural team will be demonstrated in safe operations delivering on target results for turnover and profitability. Experience of contract management is desirable and a thorough understanding of operational financial control is essential.
