There is no great mystery to it.

Your kit will pass or fail on condition and or age.

LOLER expects you to perform pre use checks so there ought to be no real surprises.

Make sure any mechanisms are clean and function as they should, its easy for just a bit of crud to stop a biner working properly. I flush them out with WD40 or similar, dry then and lube with graphite powder.

Make sure your ID's are legible, you can re label stuff as needed but remember to keep track of its date into service, particularly for fabrics.

Don't bother tipping the sawdust out, its not subject to LOLER :laugh1::laugh1:

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
