HI ALL What's the best way to protect your chickens from that fox 🐆🐆🐆electric fence around the pen then a inner 6ft fence thanks all Jon

Chicken carcass on the ground tied with a string going through the bedroom window attached to a bell . .22 centerfire next to the bed . Bell rings ..............Works every time .

Shoot one and another one will be along soon! Electric fence round the bottom of a fence and another strand half way up. Leave the top of the fence a bit loose. I did this for years and never lost any and never shot any foxes near me. I believe you are better not shooting the resident foxes that already know where the electric fences are. New once to the area might just get in if they are lucky but the resident foxes will keep others away.

Hi stubby thanks for that mate I was thinking just good strong fence 1 foot into the ground 5 feet high then out side of the fence have an electric fence do you think this will work or how do you do yours other members thanks John

Ofox will jump a five foot fence when hungry .but not jump back when full of chicken.so will kill them all out of badness..22 centre fire and he ain't coming back.you could also use a snare if you like your sleep

Hi mate will fox jump a 8ft fence then 1ft into the ground to help them digging under the fence and electric around the front of the fence thanks John

As long as the wire is slack fox won't climb .but a nice tight fence and over we go.if its a urban fox it will be better at climbing than a ritual fine

Hi Jon yes we just have a 6inch high electric fence running the perimeter our fence is around 10ft but this maybe unnecessary only as we don't bother wing clipping.

Hi wood how large is you pen for say 12 birds thanks Jon

Jon for a small pen with 12 birds just make pen sections so you can move to clean ground and make a net roof.
