After petrol powered sawbench

Hi Matt, I recently got one of those German Rotenbach 13 HP Circular saws from Ebay.

I wanted something I could fire up from time to time without the hassle of hitching and unhitching my Posch PTO saw bench.

It was delivered by tail lift truck, on a pallet, from Germany. Build quality was adequate and more or less what I expected.

So far have cut some billets, sticks and odd roundwood, it has plenty poke and it has gone well so far.

Still to give it a proper days work, hopefully once my billets have dried over the summer.

Instructions were all in German but the Engine manual is in Chinglish.

I think it will cope with 8"-9" diameter and any length of stick you want.

It cost me £650 including 19%VAT and delivery.

Thanks never would of come across that how does the chinky engine go had any problems?

Hi Matt, The Chonda motor starts first time, every time. with either method, E-Start or Pull cord, hot or cold, just like a Honda. Motor looks like a GX390 copy so spares hopefully not a problem. Early days yet though.

I bought a mower on strength of the saw deal, it has a branded Loncin motor with E- start. It's a real bugger to start again after stopping to empty the grassbox.

The saw fortunately not effected by this issue.
