Of course you could always ask phone co to move line. Good luck with that tho' .Surprised to see suggestion that you need to give 6 weeker , think I'd phone TO and tell what and when I intended to do job.

Why? Unless the branch is dead or the statutory undertaker is doing the works it needs a notice as far as I can see.

'Cos a quick chat with the TO can save time, paperwork and general hassle I'm sure many TOs would prefer that - my opinion and way I would go. Of course you and others may have diferrent modus operandi as is your right. An opinion was sought and given.:thumbup1:

I would have to agree with Chris as well. The process for working on trees situated within a CA is very clear. 6 week notification is needed before carrying out works (unless dead and dangerous etc).

In this case he is asking for clarification not opinion. If you have a good working relationship with the TO and is happy to take your word for what you are about to do, then that great. The official process is a 6 week notification though and I would expect most TO's work towards standard practices.

In this case, a quick call to the TO and explain the situation may speed up the process but that would depend on the relationship you have.
