Suggestions for lanyard setup?

Ive been out today playing with the 5 meter blaze lanyard i bought at the AA show.

I have tried it as i am looking for a replacement side strop for my wire core flipline. Its ok but not very good at taking up slack as you have to use both hands on it.

My question is is there a set up i can use with it involving a mini pulley (which i have) so i can tend the slack in it one handed? And can i use this set up on my side D ring on a Kolbri skylotec harness?

Any suggesstions and advice would be most welcome Arbs.

Regards.

C

Re: Suggestions for lanyard setup?

Yes and yes.

Try a distel or helical, nice and smooth, not too much sit back.

If you're simply using your lanyard with a prussik simply put a mini-pulley such as a Petzl Fixe under it and you can advance it with one hand.

The positioner is good, but the Trango Cinch is better.

Re: Suggestions for lanyard setup?

i use the distel and micro pulley, works a treat (much better than the crap rope grabs at college). you can use it one handed and release under load.
