A good ladies harness?

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend is starting to get very keen on climbing and we are thinking of getting a harness for her. Any recommendations of harnesses that are particularly good for a female form. She has quite wide hips and skinny waist and as a result my harness rides up a lot on her and pinches round the lower ribs. Plus I don't want her changing my treemagic from my magic setting

Any comments greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Mine prefers a Willams T22 wide back. She doesn't really get on with the floating bridge of the butterfly 2.

Cheers brushcutter.. I tried her in my old T23, she didn't like it.. Said it crushed her hips, so we are probably looking at a leg loop harness. Should have said that in the original post. Sorry.

Re: A good ladies harness?

Does it have to be a working harness, or can you/she consider a rockclimbing harness?
Failing that, I'm sure some of the female climbers will be along to give you advice straight from the horse's mouth ....... maybe I should've phrased that differently!

HAHa Drew you make me laugh. If I was going to cough up 300quid for a harness it would be for me!!! Then she can change the magic setting on my treemagic as much as she likes!! In all honesty that may be an option.

WeeDee, she has a rockclimbing harness but when you hang around for more than about 5 minutes it cuts off the blood circulation.. Plus no D rings!

A female opinion would be good. Not seen littletree about much recently though

Re: A good ladies harness?

Mrs Tommy_B has a Sequioa and really likes it. Although she hasn't climbed a lot and as a result, doesn't know any better if that makes sense. Not taken her climbing for ages. She is keen to go climbing recently so I have to come up with better excuses as to where it is. I forgot to tell her I've lent it to someone.....

Re: A good ladies harness?

a rock climbers harness wouldnt be suitable for tree climbing. they arent designed to be sat in for any length of time and would get uncomfortable pretty quick
