Stein 3001 here. Nice simple to use device. This is what I like about it the most. You can instruct anyone to use it in 2 minutes flat. Thats the most important thing to me as a freelancer as I have different groundsmen nearly every day. If I had the same groundsman ever day then I might consider something more complex. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I have ever needed winching capabilities though in 20 years of tree work.

This is what I use ,it's like a Hobbs but a bit easier to set up and use as you can have more extreme rope angles going in to the drum. Also a 3001 for jobs where no pretensioning is necessary and a Portawrap for light rigging.
