Anyone put a 044 cylinder on a 042

The only difference I have found is the wrist pin sizes I have managed to get round this by getting a bush that will go between the needle roller bearing and the wrist pin

 

Do you happen to know the sizes? The early 044 had a 10mm pin, the later one was 12mm, so it is possible that if you fit an early type piston you wouldn't need the bush?
