They are not a fan of dead pine brash, it doesn't chip it very well and it sticks in the shoot.

It's all to do with wood to light stuff ratio.

There is no draft, just chip throw off the blades.

Like anything there's a knack to it.

Stick it in backwards helps and more often than not there's other greenery to be chipped you can mix.

As for blunting the chiller, they will dull a blade quicker if it's lengths and lengths of stone dead hard stuff.
