Any keen indoor rowers out there ?

I've always quite enjoyed messing around on rowing machines, now I'm a little more office based I feel the need for some exercise... no tree climbing is taking its toll.

So I brought an indoor rower, and I have to say I'm getting really into it, even after slightly under a month the old muscle memory seems to be doing its thing and I'm starting to feel stronger! Well closer to my old tree climbing self!

Any one else into indoor rowing? Just wondering what your split times are, maybe we could have a little arbtalk league?

Pretty sure I'm not in that league

Nor am I

in fact I'd consider myself to be a retired 'indoor rower', never having really acheived many thousand of indoor meters.

My rowing prowess was more akin to having a sedate pull of the oars across a pond :001_rolleyes:

This thread has inspired me to dust off the machine and get back to it, thanks Welwell. :thumbup1:

.........well maybe :blushing::biggrin:

Have a Concept 2 machine, it's a commercial bit of kit and the one to have. Expensive new but plenty second hand about. It'll last a lifetime with excellent resale value!!

Been contemplating getting one myself but liked the look of the water rowers. Is the concept 2 a better bit of kit?

I think this is the same questions as "Sthil or Husqvarna" or "Toyota or Land Rover".

I have the water rower. It depends where you look online as to which is best. I think they are both brilliant pieces of kit. Just down to personal preference I think.
