price opinion on saw

I don't know where you are or the euro exchange rate but that sounds a lot of money for second hand saws. What was a farmer doing with a Stihl 090 ? There's a lot of difference between the two saws, what are you looking to use it for ? Ex demo 066 sounds suspicious how long has it been on demo for it's got to be 15 years old.

Check the date on the 660, I think Id go for that, 1000 euros is around £750 - if you are in France or Spain saws are pretty expensive new though.

 

It aslo depends what sort of guarantee if any the dealer will provide on ex demo saw & if its not too old, but if it all makes sense because he's local to you & has good support.

 

If I wanted to pull a 24" bar on a regular basis Id go for a 390xp or a 461 with 25" but a 660 will pull that with ease, dont know about 090s but sound quite big & may be good for milling.
