Stihl HT101 Pole Pruner

We've had several Stihl HT101 Pole Pruners over the years and although Stihl do not recommend it we've used the hedge trimming attachments which ultimately lead to the shafts breaking.

Fed up with buying replacement shafts we now have a collection of dead pole saws so the plan is to cannibalise to make one working machine.

Has anyone had any success in taking these poles apart and rebuilding? If so, any advice would be much appreciated.

FR Jones have kindly provided the schematic diagram of the component parts which will undoubtedly be very handy.

Im putting one back together this week.

I will try and get some decent pics and do my best to explain what im doing.

From past experience dont bother trying to save any pieces that look worn or are nothing but dead straight.

There is a thread where you can ask(beg I think the title is) for workshop manuals that might help a bit:001_smile:
