can't seem to find anything on the search function. Does anybody have a fix for the appalling strop attachment ring on the MS150TC?....mine is sporting a few cracks after falling apart and I'm very concerned one of my groundies is going to end up wearing it

I got really fed up with the strop attachment ring bending & pulling out on my Ms150. I took the 'D' ring out and used a 2"nail in its place. Because it's a very snug fit you will need to use a 20mm Stein chainsaw strop or use a Petzl soft link through the nail then onto your existing chainsaw strop. I've been using this now for over 7 months & no probs.

I'll post a pic tomorrow if it helps.

I put some info up before but cant find it for ours i made an attachment ring with a little bit of webbing stiched together and fixed useing a stihl torx plastic screw in hole used for mounting of the rear handle on rear handle model found center back under air filter cover have three 150s first one has helled up over year and a half now can also use origonal attachment for cliping to harness much like plastic loop on 540xp

i don't trust the one on the makta 230t either so i just pop the strap round the handle. works fine!

tried that with mine but found it didn't hang right

so put an old prussic loop around the handle then through the ring

then attached the strop to the loop so if the ring gives out its backed up around the handle

if that makes sense
