Hi guys I'm about to do my cs30/31 at the end of the month. I own a Husqvarna 455 rancher with a 15 inch bar. I have received the requirements for the course and the saw fits in with the requirements but I was just wondering if this saw is good enough for the course as I know it's not a pro saw. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i used a tiny 180 echo on my first course - so you will be fine - maybe slow but fine.

tips....... engage brain.

the course is idiot proof so take it slow and steady - you can speed up once you have it.

be a perfectionist with all your cuts and same with the workshop side - look at other ppls saws aswell as your own - i recently taught a chap to go for the quals and realised that id gone fuzzy on some aspects of the maintanance - so take notes in the nice booklet they give you.

good luck
