Taking advantage of the cool dry weather i got the trusty maul and Stihl 025 out.

All hand split. Funny how all the gnarly cross grained stuff gets left to the end.:confused1:

 

Now just got to stick it on pallets over the other side of the garden :thumbdown:

In proper winter weather I would expect to burn that much.

 

I don't have any other heating in my big draughty house though.

I have been carting logs all day at work, just off out to spend my evening splitting some for myself. I have probably just about got enough done for next winter. I am going to make sure I have a silly amount done, nice not to have to worry about finding dry logs.
