Plane Partner-- Pal, or Parasite?

This is not silky fox, but a dodgy vagabond in his living room, tapping keys as he's grabbing Z's. \i ran across these fungi in \Kent the other day, and as we have few planes on my home planet, I wonder what they are, and how they interact.

the last pic i wonder if it could be a shriveled conk on the stem?

Thanks for any help with |ID, and thanks to silky fox, my brother from another planet :001_cool: , for the access.

Hello Guy, good to have briefly met the other day

I think due to host, gill colour & time of fruiting, the chances of them being Agaricus augustus (the Prince) are fairly good. Although the purple edging of the cap seems somewhat unusual & not what I've noted of the species before.

If it is the prince, I understand the species to be saprophytic in its relationship to the host.

Can't make out from the last image (1st post) anything specific.

Where else other than Kew are you intending to get to, on your european odyssey ?
