Any ideas why my new ms 200 is leaking around the fanny flap bit of plastic around the bottom of the handle assembly? not coming from the bottom of the carb or vents from what i can see
alright charlie! no mate on the new style 200s they have changed the breathers as they where forever getting snagged and incorperatated some gator type thing around the bottom of the handle carb assembly, that on mine gets coveedr in fuel .saw runs fine unlike when the breathers break(had that happen plenty on the older types)but its leaking fuel from the top of the end of the carb area i think
seems odd, that ifs it leaking fuel and still running ok? when its leaking does it lean the saw out at all, seem to rev faster etc? i cant see how if its leaking fuel out its not suck more air in, I wonder if its leaking out the carb gasket, might need new gaskets? its the only thing is can think of that would cause it leak fuel from the handle without causing running problems
it seems to run fine it just leaks a bit when its sitting down, like a breather problem,im not sure about the new breather set up as ive never dismantled it,know the other type inside out but they changed it all on the newer model.... ill take it in the shop tm if they dont know ill leave it with them as ive got 2 days stump grinding
