My 550XP is yet again back at the dealer due to poor running/starting etc. this is the second time this has happened and I'm pretty mad. As its only 2 months old a few of you guys are saying I should demand a new saw which is fair. So my question. Should I pay the difference and upgrade to a 560XP?? These seem pretty faultless.

When you put a thread up when you first got that saw, I set my stopwatch. Didn't want too p155 on your bonfire but knew it would come to this.

I'll get berrated for saying it...

560 faultless?!

Spat my tea out.

Would have been less long winded to say "I told you so"...

To the OP, demand a new one. The 550 I had was faultless. I looked after it mind.

I had my first 550 for 4 years and it was faultless, only got a new one cause I wanted heated handles and no issues yet with the new one. I'd like to add the the old one was sold onto a friend that uses it professionally with no issues. Must just have a duff one

There are some duff ones about (yours being a prime example ) But you only ear about the bad ones . There are a huge amount of gooduns around . If you want 50cc demand another as it is not fit for purpose . If you want a 560 then ask for your money back and go from there .
