Guide bar

I have a Parker chainsaw 20" bar.

When I put the alaskan mill on it clamps the bar too tightly and the blade does not run very well. Can I get a better quality bar to fit the saw.

I also have an old partner 550 which could do with a new bar.

If a " Parker " is a Chinese saw , as I suspect it is , the bar is probably softish . Maybe a better quality bar would be the answer . Its determining the type of mount . Best take the bar in to your dealer and see if there is an Oregon equivalent .

I use a similar saw on the 24" mill with an Oregon bar, the clamps must be correctly sited especially at the nose where the sprocket sits, I also noted the clamps do not have to be super tight to grip the bar safely.

It's a Chinese eBay special😀

Good enough for my needs at present time until I invest in better.

The bar is soft in comparison to the other saw I have.

Thanks for the input👍
