Sugihara bar price rise due on Monday......

Unfortunetly due to rising costs brought on by the dropping exchange rate we will be increasing most Sugihara bar prices by 10%.

This is across the board and will happen on Monday. So just a heads up if you were just about to get one.

However - we will be doing offers on some of the range. We bought in a lot of 1/4 pitch bars - this so you can run a 1/4 sprocket nose bar on the same saw as your carving bar. But most folk seem to just dedicate their carving saw(s) to carving bars.

We also still have too many 14" R7 bars for small Stihls/GB 1/4 .043 sprocket nose bars.

All special offers can be found here Special Offers Archives - Chainsawbars on the new chainsawbars website.

Will this change the prices of the chains as was planning on ordering some for the little echo?

The chains will be the same at £0.29 per drive link for now Dan. We want a few people to start using these to see what feedback is like.

Just to check, will I need a sprocket or are the 1/4" 10" bars are suitable for an echo (cs280tes) as is without changing a drive sprocket?

You'll need a 1/4 drive sprocket for the Echo 280TES - we have these but not on CSB website yet... Will try and add on Monday.

Thanks. Can you check how many links are needed and perhaps put the chain up ready priced to prevent mistakes? On the page for the bar and chain it's listed as both 56 and 60 links? Pretty sure the bar I have says 60?

Got it!.... it said "ERROR 404 - Page not found" when I clicked on the Oregon wedges (under the accessories tab).

And, I got a bit confused in the milling bar section here: http://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product-category/mills-kits/milling-bars-for-stihl-chainsaws/

I was looking at the 42" Sugihara bar thinking it would fit an 880 and wondered why it had 138 links in the chain instead of 120 links (which is what I ordered).... then I realised the 42" Sugihara bar for the 880 wasn't listed.... the one I was looking at was to fit a 660, etc.

....Hope that makes sense!

Have you considered selling high-lift wedges?

cheers, steve

Thanks Steve - not really thought of high lift wedges - we will bear in mind.

I will add the 42" option for the MS880.

Cheers for the feedback.
