Husqvarna 550xp Oregon bars

Hi folks. Fairly new to this. Got my self a 550xp. I believe you can upgrade from the standard bar and chain to a much better Oregon bar and chain perhaps? Is this the case? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Use up the OEM bar , don't waste it . Then get yourself a Sugihara light weight pro bar .

I've actually got 2 15" bars with it. Nothing wrong with them at all. Where is best to get the Sugihara bars? Are they any good? Clark Engineering are just near me but they only supply Oregon

The reason I suggested them is that , yes they are very good very durable . I find that when I flip the bar and go to dress it there are no burrs to file off . Rob D on here ( Chainsawbars ) sells them .

Brilliant. Thanks for this. I've read a lot about these bars on here and hear good reports about them. The OEM bar was just about on fire at the weekend there cutting through oak. And the oiler was working perfectly too!! Lol

Take the standard bar and throw it out the window, get onto rob d for some Sugi bars.

 

A 15 & 13 will give you the best options on that saw.

 

Found the Oregon bars a little soft

Where can I get a hold of rob d? I've got the standard OEM 15" bar on it at the moment and I'll keep it on a 15. Perfect for everything i use it for. Limbing cross cutting fire wood small (ish) felling etc. could

The standard husky chain be used though?
