Hi all, I have got a 560 which appears to be missing a valve? of sorts and when the saw is tilted pull cord side down oil leeks out (when oil cap is opened the oil flows out) of a small hole located near where the oil feeds the bar. Comparing it to another of our 560's there is apart missing where this hole is. Just wondering if anyone can help me out and tell me exactly what this is so I can get a new one ordered, and if there is a trick to fitting it once i have it.

Cheers,

Alec

No, it's not the screw but thanks wood wasp.

Yes Mark it is this brass filter. The part on the working saw is brass coloured and appears to be a filter anyway. I just assumed it must be some sort of valve. So is there a valve just in behind the brass filter? If so I am pretty sure both these are missing.

I'm on my phone and the image off parts is hard to make out when I zoom in.

This could be interesting,I have a 560 chucking oil everywhere, pumps out fine with no bar on,runs out the bottom with bar and chain on

I had that on my 135 and it was the rubber not seated properly where it sits in the metal cover under the bar. It was creased and I just undid the cover and straightened it out and it worked fine after.

Mine was slightly creased so I swapped oil pump off another and still doing it :confused1:
