oh i wish i had a dog like that

it must be hard to do something that actually resembles something rather than a subject that is up for interpretation

what about doing portraits that could be interesting

Thanks,

Portraits would be the hardest thing to carve, its hard enough doing a face never mind getting it to look like someone.

Heres a pic of a face I used for my Fairy, similar but not identical!

I carved the dog for someone but they only wanted a 2ft one, so I have to do another, this one is sold now.

I think Dogs are good seller's but I think you do get the fussy customers to go with it, like my dog has longer hair or his ears are to short! carve it again!

Email me some pics Shrek, and I will have see what I can do.

Cheers Tommy

top piece of work, tommy!

I think chainsaw carving is a very underrated art form. People dont realise how skillfull it is to carve a subject, let alone with a chainsaw. Had a mess about once and its much harder than it looks :001_tongue:

Dissmantling a tree next week in a school yard. Were leaving some of the main stem standing as they've commisioned a carver to create a piece for the school........cant wait to see how this turns out will hopefully post pics when its done.:001_smile:
