Reducing a hedge using the MS 150 with shiny new chain, chain lasted about five minutes before it hit a hidden nail and snapped.

Put new chain on five more minute chain 2 done in rusty old bolt concealed in trunk.

Put last spare chain on and going well( about 20 mins) and crunch no more chain. Old hedging post with straining wire that must have held rabbit proof fencing but now totally hidden in the hedge.

 

Off to Argos tomorrow to buy a metal detector.
