what is the best second hand fendt around 200- 250hp? been thinking about 824 turboshifts and 926 vario from the 95-2002 era. but what makes them better than equivalent deeres or masseys that are almost half the asking price??

yes Jon sometimes but would be used mainly on the farm for double/ triple mowers, balers and hauling and prob a bit of contracting when the weathers good

Graham you answered your own question "VARIO" is the answer it's the type of transmission ans can save buckets of fuel in the right circumstances. Speak to Ross Agri in Turriff. You will need to do enough of the right kind of work to justify the extra cost of purchase to reap savings from the fuel saved. But they are lovely tractors. The mutts nuts!! really I wish I could afford one but an old John Deere will have to do!!

Plus the joystick on them with the electric spools and headland management make them so much easier on just about any task but ive never driven a similar speck tractor from another brand so cant say if they compare for the controls I dont think the john deere would as cant change speed and simultaneously use links and spools plus fendt have a separate hydraulic tank from the back end which stops contamination in the cvt unit when dirty oil is in the implement or the quick couplers arnt cleaned before use where as the deere is the same as a standard tractor allowing muck to get into the delicate cvt unit which increases wear
