Guys,

 

Ground Control is looking to give to a charity relevant to Arb Talk and the Arb industry.

Was just wondering what ideas you guys had about what charity that could be or is relevant to Arboriculture and its industry.

 

Or is there even a charity that Arb Talk is involved in directly?

 

Anything is helpful.

Obviously the childrens trust is a very worth while charity that we all know about.

 

Is that something Arb Talk is involved with?

Arbtalks official charity is The Childrens Trust, not relevant to arb though.

 

I would say a relevant charity to arb would be the air ambulance. Problem with them though is I believe they are regional with no central fund raising section, which would basically mean choosing a region to sponsor. I could be wrong on that though

If childrens trust is something that you are directly involved in then that is something we may possibly want to be involved in aswell.

 

Air ambulance is actually very releveant, having been at a site where one was needed!

I'm sure a few of us have had the pleasure of working with them!!!!. Always nice to send them away to a better place where they can be looked after properly.

Perennial is a charity that the Ground Control Group are already very aware of because of their work within the Horticultural industry. i wasnt aware that they covered Arb and forestry (though that would make perfect sense!) too.

 

Are there any Arb-dedicated charities, too? Excuse my ignorance; i'm a numbers, not trees, guy...
