if you are a major seller then it may be worth considering especially as its tax deductible, I cant see it being viable for smaller sellers though.

 

You need to provide an audit channel for your logs, keep records of where timber in a customers bag comes from and what the MC at point of sale is. Minimum MC allowed is 25%. It does give new stove owners peace of mind but they probably will not be prepared to pay extra for Hetas approved logs.

In my opinion a complete waste of time and money. If you can guarantee that all the logs you sell have a MC less than 20% you will have no difficulty in selling your stock even at a premium. My business has boomed since a local cowboy set up selling cheap wet logs.
