Anyone had any first hand experience of burning holly when correctly seasoned. The firewood poem says it's poor,

 

The firewood poem itself is poor... (and has been discussed on here many times)

 

Dry holly is an excellent firewood - it burns very hot with a lovely flame picture. Burning some on our Vision 500 as I type.

I would consider it a poor choice to burn such a slow grown wood like holly. A lot of timber artisans would reveal lovely items encapsulated in such a timber as that...............

 

It an awful waste to burn Holly..................
