Hi guys and gals, yes it's that time of year again when i'll be asking you all to check your pockets and sofa's and donate whatever you can to help us beat cancer.

Sadly in January of this year i lost my grandad to cancer after only a 3 month battle against it. For the period that he was unwell we were so well supported by the hospital and everyone who knew him but that still doesn't take away the heartache as i'm sure many of you will know first hand. By raising money for cancer research we are helping to fund a brighter future where more people will survive and be able to spend longer with their loved ones.

After last year's success of raising a wopping £475.60 i thought this year i'd push myself and do the 10k race, now i know it's only 6 miles but with a tutu and fairy wings i'm sure it'll feel further!
