Hellberg yellow.

I've just bought a stien helmet with the yellow hellberg ear defenders. In the shop they said that the defenders were the equivalent to the chippers ones you can get. Well, today has been very noisy, at times to the point of gritting teeth! Has anyone else found the hellbergs not fit for purpose?

 

I notice on the net you can buy hellberg reds, are they much better? I find it seems to be the seal around the ear that's the problem. A gentle push with your fingers and they seem to work better. Any solution?
