he's not well Mull, I clocked that too. Apparently you can't book him months in advance, you can only get him at short notice because of his problem.

This'll probably be his last public appearance going by his confused and vague answers. Sad really.

Dont you remember they dragged him out right in the last days of the IndyRef and everyone was like, 'how come he's only appearing now?'

Yep, it's a shame, he often speaks well, thought he'd sorted himself out. Surprised the bbc let him go ahead with this!

Although, with hindsight maybe the bbc are quite happy to let him struggle to give themselves news! Now that is a bit sadder( if that's a word) than someone struggling with the drink I'd say!

"Let's invite him on and give him enough rope to hang himself"

Is that too harsh on bbc?

Feel sorry for him in a way being 6 years sober now I know how hard it can be. you have to want to do it for yourself. No one can do it for him. BBC should not really put him in that position though. Could have been me (not the tv or politician bit)

It is an awful place to be always thinking I want a drink, hope he can save himself.

Just watched QT on IPlayer.

Certainly seemed like he was tuned out. Poor show from the production team if it was noticeable before the show went live.

Hislop - didn't say much, but not a single word he said was wasted! The most realistic, accurate, attuned, honest and direct panelist for quite some time in my view.

Natalie Bennett - blah, blah, blah, primroses, ban the bomb, teddy bears, peace & love, cloud cuckoo!
