I think I guy called Gareth Jones is doing it he's a fencing contractor who's got all the fencing tree work on that stretch of road, think he just bought a crane feed chipper so it probably will end up as chip.

Ah ok, that's good to know, cheers for that Scott. I thought it would be chipped, saw some mountains of it at the road side.

If all that goes through a chipper, it'll be a crying shame. There's some really nice trees, especially in and around the Clydach Gorge. They had a 360 with a shearing head cutting trees 4' to 8' off the ground. And on the Old Black Rock, they've hand-cut at 4' and higher. What's that about... are they constructing an assault course for Mogs or have they hired a bunch of 12ft tall hand-cutters with bad knees who can't bend?

My Mum lives up there, she spoke to some of the boys clearing up by the old factory on the Cymro road and they said that the locals were free to help themselves - but you've got to be quick!!

Also said that they were leaving the stumps that high so they could find them for grubbing out when the new road cuts the corner off!
